Bi-Monthly Women in the Forest Meeting: Calling all women in the forest! Chainforest DAO will be hosting our first women-in-the-forest call next month! This call will be a bi-monthly meetup (every two months) going forward. For more information, please check out our 💞│women-in-the-forest Discord channel (here)!
Monthly Town Hall: We will be sharing the latest happenings/updates at Chainforest DAO, onboarding new members, along with having a Q&A session for all members! This event is open to all members! If you are a new member of Chainforest DAO, please stop by and introduce yourself to the community!

Camillus notes that CZ of Binance is going after Solana by limiting USDC and USDT (SPL) withdrawals from his and his friends’ exchanges 📝
Camillus views this as a smart move, for CZ given his limited exposure to SOL vs rivals and FTX’s estate in bankruptcy
Rainmaker’s ask Camillus how limiting stablecoin withdrawals allow CZ to go after Solana
Camillus explains that Binance had less SOL than other exchanges. By making this move, People who held stables on Solana but are looking for a way off will be funneled into converting stables to SOL, then sending their SOL to Binance+friends... now those exchanges gain further market share in SOL for spot, and allowing more action in perps.... either that happens, or he spooks the market and people dump SOL en masse which is also fine, since he has less of it compared to his rivals, including FTX's bankruptcy estate, which will allow him more bargaining power when he's picking over the remains
Rainmaker’s discuss the probability of the doom and gloom scenario post-FTX that Jason Choi lays out in his thread 🔮
Jason says that it depends if an app (or a few) comes out in the next decade that everyone needs and cannot look away from
Jon notes that there are still major institutions buying in right now. The probability in his mind is closer to 30% of happening as Jason laid out
Ben adds that one of the most unfortunate impacts will definitely be the brain drain from young hungry folks choosing generative AI or other booming industries in the near term. It is hard to deny that blockchain will at least have a strong impact on the financial sector
